549 Kilograms of rebranded sugar seized in Mombasa shop

Some 549kg of repackaged and re-branded sugar was impounded yesterday at the Budget Supermarket on Moi Avenue in Mombasa town. Officers from the Sugar Directorate, under the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Authority said the supermarket had violated re-branding and repackaging regulations. They were accompanied by officers from the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
