The search is on to find the man who robbed an Asheville bank Tuesday afternoon. It happened at the First Citizens Bank on Smokey Park Highway around 2:15 p.m. Asheville Police say a man walked into the bank and demanded money from the tellers. Detectives were told he had a weapon, but never showed it. He did get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Investigators say he left the bank on foot. Scotty Dorland, an employee of Gun and Gear, says he saw the bank robber causually walk past his business and get into an older model dark green Chevy Blazer parked at the Auto Zone. Dorland also says the man didn't appear to be in any hurry. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and dark pants. Anyone with details on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (828) 255-5050.\nFollow Megan Schiering on Twitter @mschieringWLOS
