Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko said they are ready to defend the country. This came after Ukraine claimed that Russia is blocking its ports in the Sea of Azov – where three Ukrainian ships were detained. Meanwhile, NATO has refused to offer support for Kiev in order to avoid escalating the crisis. But it did demand that Russia end the standoff.
