It was in 1966 that the GTO became its own model. Bearing the ‘242’ VIN, 1966 was among one of the years the first generation GTO was produced. This Pontiac has received the Vintage Car Certification at MCACN in 2015. This 1966 GTO is a time capsule that is museum worthy. Survivors like this are becoming harder to find by the day. This GOAT comes complete with the protect-o-plate and owner’s manual.

The original Cameo Ivory paint on this survivor is in excellent condition. The Parchment interior on this Pontiac is in fantastic condition and like showroom new as well. This GTO is the hardtop variant with no B-pillar, making for a gorgeous looking car.

This GTO is powered by its original, never rebuilt, 389cid/355hp motor mated to the original 3 speed automatic transmission with shifter mounted on the column. The engine runs strong and sounds great. Driving this car is an absolute pleasure and you hear no rattles or squeaks as you might with other classics. It’s also important to note that this car has power steering and power brakes making for an effortless driving experience.
