All my acrylic paints are mixed with a pouring medium in advance contained in squeeze bottles.
   I begin by adding white paint in the center of the  12"x 16 " canvas .Next I "seat" a cut off bottle top to rest on the canvas and after filling it with a variety of colors I have pre mixed ,I surround the opening with a thick puddle of paint .Lifting the paint filled bottle neck slowly releases the colors underneath the paint puddle causing a patterning effect (even with out added silicone).I tip the canvas but decide I would prefer to save the pattern and use a small silicone basting brush ( with many bristles removed) as a "brush/tool" to pull paint from the edges of the design and cover the corners on two sides.I add  paint and continue to play until I am happy with the design in general.
THERE IS NO SILICONE in this artwork's paint mix.I use ZERO silicon in the pre mixed colors stored in squeeze bottles with no other cell creating additive is included. Floetrol and Gac 800 (By Golden)are what I use as pouring mediums. My paint mix or  "recipe" is as follows. Add color 90%  acrylic color to 10% "Golden's" Gac 800 .Mix thoroughly (GAC 800  prevents cracking) .Add Floetrol( by "Flood") , until the mixture is double (or more ) mix thoroughly. That's the whole  recipe  .To create shimmering colors, I add also"Golden's" Iridescent pearl medium  to colors.As much as looks right . Every day I learn something new. I never stop experimenting and I am happy to share what I discover with you.#3505- wet
