Follow us as we discover the road side of Highway 4 in Stanislaus Nation Forest near Lake Alpine in Northern California. What we come across is Native American mortar bowls in granite rock. My daughter is doing a Native American report in school and we just happen to be in the area on a snow trip so we stopped by and took a look at these old Native American mortar Bowl in this granite. As a kid I used to play in this area and remembered were the location is. She got a little Hands-On history lesson. Also got to see how close is the Native Americans were compared to home.
