2000 pound load test of 1st electric. Using ice melt as ballast! Gotta love it. This is a 3 HP eurodrive motor geared to hoist approx 15,000 - 20,000 lbs (before safety factor, and using conservative calculations). Rigging system was designed and installed in 1990. Two 1-ton Eurodrive winches and ten .5-ton standard winches (ratings are after safety factor is applied and taking into consideration all other system hardware). All winch brakes adjusted and winches load tested this week by PDO, Inc.
