Had some old speakers so I decided to make my own Bluetooth Boom Box. Everything to build this only cost around $90 since I reused an old set of speakers. Took about 6 hours to build. Most of which was drilling the hundreds of holes to make the grilles instead of cutting a large hole for each speaker leaving them exposed and protruding outside of the case profile. Used a 7.5AH rechargeable battery to power everything and a Lepai LP-A7 Digital 2 x 35W Amplifier to power the speakers. The USB Bluetooth does pick up a little interference but what can you expect from a $10 Bluetooth receiver but it does work well up to 30 feet away. I also have a hard wired 3.5mm headphone jack if you don't wish to use Bluetooth.
