After scouting the entire small town, medicine is needed in order for Ed to get the help he needs. Alan wants to shoot him which Marcus is not really okay with. Considering the circumstances, I would Alan might be right. Marcus finds a Vet clinic and heads over to get meds for Ed without a vehicle despite being the worst idea encountered in the game thus far.
