MEPs unite on financial supervision

A package of reforms for financial sector supervision garnered support from across the political spectrum, with only a few doubters. Amongst the proposals is a European Systemic Risk Board which would assess risks to financial stability. The Parliament hopes their proposals will avoid future financial crises
