Marred by violence following the 2017 national elections, the Southern Highlands Provincial Executive Council held its first meeting yesterday. PEC members were also sworn in to the assembly, including Chairman and Governor, William Powi. There was tight security in Mendi town, after rumours of threats by supporters of other candidates who contested the 2017 elections.
