Biography 
Srimathumitha is one of the leading playback singers in today's film music scenario.
• She has taken the musical scene by storm with her chartbuster "Valayapatti thavile" from the movie Azhagiya Thamizh magan in the music of Isaipuyal AR Rahman.
• She has now sung in the oscar winning movie Slumdog Millionaire for Mr.AR Rahman, Her songs are Liquid Dance and millionaire.
• Well trained in classical carnatic music as well as Hindustani classical, she started her career as a cine playback singer with a dream debut super hit song "Mudhal Mudhalai" from the film "Laysa Laysa". This was a peppy duet number in the music direction of Harris Jayaraj in 2003.Her song "oddiyaanam, her first duet with Hariharan" from the film ARUL was a super hit chart buster.
• Her song KANAA KAANUM KALANGAL solo and Duet) from 7G RAINBOW COLONY for Yuvan Shankar Raja , a Super hit won her many awards and accolades and put her on the top notch of young singers. She has sung the same song in Telugu also "KALALU KANE KALALU"
