Report: Smoke From the California Wildfires Has Reached the East Coast

Air pollution from wildfires has made its way across the U.S. Tony Spitz has the details. As record-setting wildfires continue to rage on the west coast and ravage parts of California- Smoke from the blazes has spread even further than expected. According to CNN, the National weather Service reports that smoke from wildfires has moved across the US- And has reached the east coast and New york City. The National Weather Service San Diego tweeted an image from their experimental tracking system- Revealing the severity of the spread. Though they also assure that most of the smoke is at least quote: “...a mile above the surface.” Posing no health risk to those in the affected areas in new york city and the east coast. CNN reported that respiratory problems can arise from inhaling the smoke from wildfires- Warning that if winds bring the smoke closer to the surface, air quality may be affected.
