Why don't some videos play smootly?

Some videos play ok, but others keep stopping and starting all the way to the end. It really annoyes me. The data seems to come in tiny bursts, so the computer cant download the video quick enough to keep the video playing smootly. It's NOT my connection speed, other videos play fine.
