3D laser scan of a Roman tombstone

Conservation Technologies at National Museums Liverpool created a texture-mapped 3D dataset by laser scanning the Vedica tombstone (Manor House Museum, lkley, North Yorkshire). This was used to create a replica of the tombstone for the Living with the Romans exhibition in 2005. liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/mol/exhibitions/livingwithromans/localfinds/vedica.aspx The replica is now in the Museum of Liverpool's History Detectives gallery. The tombstone measures 1710mm x 875mm x 310mm (H x W x D).
