Download Here: http://mootbooxle.bandcamp.com/track/hurricane-sandys-pool-party This is my first tribute to Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band. I say first because it's somewhat likely that I'll do another one. This song distills my feelings about Hurricane Sandy into a Magic Band-style instrumental. Going for that Shiny Beast/Doc At The Radar Station sound with the Moog bass. So my Magic Band consists of: Moot Booxlé- Guitar (right channel) Moot Booxlé- Glass-Finger Guitar (left channel) Moot Booxlé- Synthesizers.com Modular Synth Bass Moot Booxlé- Drums Moot Booxlé- Marimba The guitar is a Musicvox Spaceranger. It was plugged into an Epiphone Valve Junior (modified) amp. The drums are Rogers XP-8 from 1978. The marimba is the only fake instrument here. It's played on a MIDI keyboard. The sound source is Logic EXS24. Composed, Arranged, Performed, Produced, and Engineered by Moot Booxlé, November 1, 2012. Recorded and Mixed on a Mac using Logic Pro. Mastered on a PC using Adobe Audition. (Dig my gaudy 90s style album art!) TO THE MANY MAGIC BAND PLAYERS: Thank you, thank you, thank you for your contribution to the world of music. It has enriched my life in more ways than I can count. God Bless You! ----------------- This also goes out to the many people who've been affected by Hurricane Sandy.
