2015 Kia Soul EV Reserved Preheating Problem

Problem getting Reserved Preheating to start. Just about 5 out of 10 times the reserved heating will not start automatically. I have to unplug and replug 3 or sometimes 4 times before it starts. I have set it to preheat at 0600, with departure time at 0630. I wait till 0601 to see if it starts, if it doesn't, I go out and do as in this video.
