Let's Talk Science Outreach is a national, grass-roots (community-based) program that connects youth and educators with outstanding science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) outreach volunteers. Let's Talk Science trains our enthusiastic volunteers -- young leaders and specialists in STEM -- to use real-world examples and hands-on activities to make STEM learning meaningful and engaging for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 Our network of volunteers includes more than 3,000 students from 40 universities and colleges across Canada, and industry professionals, who reach more than 160,000 children each year with free hands-on/minds-on activities.

As of the 2012/2013 year, there were 141 Let's Talk Science volunteers from the Faculty of Science at the University of Manitoba. These volunteers reached over 10,000 students in Manitoba, both urban and rural, from all corners of the province.
