We've got ourselves another side story, this time with Xun Yu going out to, fittingly, secure some more heroes. First off we see Yoshihiro Shimazu, surrounded by some generics. Easy enough to save, considering he's surrounded entirely by generics. Just make a round cutting a bloody path through 'em all. We've given an objective to defeat Hesperus before he escapes, but you'll likely already be in the middle of killing him when that mission appears. Doing so will allow the Shimazu to successfully ambush the enemies Yoshihiro was fighting. We'll be told of another hero in the castle that apparently took one look at Yoshihiro and went "Nah." and decided to just stay in the castle and kick back. So our next objective is to get him off his lazy ass and coerce him out of the castle, by getting Oichi up to its front gates with a barrel of wine. We've got a timer for when Pang De's reinforcements will arrive as this happens, so ideally we'll want to hurry her along by obliterating any generics standing in her way. Doing this will convince Guo Jia to finally come out and actually help the people fighting outside his castle. Man, I didn't realize Guo Jia was so apathetic when not under Cao Cao's care. After that, Pang De will arrive regardless of the timer. He is in the north, while some generics are in the south. Now we just need to go to Pang De and defeat him to win. That's...pretty much it. Relatively simple stage here. Beating it will, naturally, unlock Guo Jia and Yoshihiro. I played Yu Jin here, who has a mechanic where you do his C1 to light up his blade with one of three elements: Lightning, Ice, or Light. At least I assume the last one is light...it was never really made clear. Either way, after setting up the C1 you can then use one of his other Charge attacks of the appropriate element. C2 is Ice, C3 is Lightning, C4 is Light, C5 is Lightning, C6 is Ice. Once you've done this three times, you can use his C1 again to trigger an attack buff that is accompanied by a wicked looking red and black aura covering his weapon. It also Changes his C1 into an attack that expels the aura, but it's surprisingly weak so why would you? Yu Jin's mechanic is kind of fun, but you lose the buff and any stacks of it you have by switching characters so that can be a bit restricting to actually try and get it going. Unless you're one of those people that play this game only ever using one character the whole time, which I personally never understood the point of that.
