On 22 Nov 2012, the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences completed 21 years of service to the society. 

Ophthalmology was the third department to be incorporated into this Super Speciality hospital that offers all treatment and consultation free of cost. 

In this interview with Radio Sai's Bishu Prusty, Dr. Sasirekha talks about the progress made by the department and her experiences of being a part of Bhagawan's medical mission.
