Bobby is a 10+ year old Lhasa Apso mix who came to us when his guardian was no longer able to provide the care he needed. He arrived a bit of a mess, badly in need of a dental exam and treatment, covered in matts and seemed to show pain when urinating. After our shelter medicine team examined him, we found he had bladder stones! Bobby was promptly scheduled for surgery, which, while successful, proved to be taxing on the little man, and he spent time in our hospital recovering. Now, with shiny cleaned teeth, a fresh haircut and bath, this happy guy is ready to face the world and find his new family! Bobby loves to go for walks... walks well on leash, stops to sniff the roses and say hello to friendly faceshe loves every minute. He loves to show off his "sit pretty" trick. (seen in photo) and shows potential to learn other fun tricks. Because of his medical history, he will need to stick to prescribed diet to keep him healthy. Lucky for everyone, he loves his special food so much so weve been using it for treats! He likes the company of other dogs, but frankly, would rather hang out with someone he loves and trusts. Young children and other young pets wouldnt be the right match for this guy he likes to take things slowly and with maturity.
