After losing the plot with the bat in the morning, India bounced back with the ball, dismissing six Windies batsmen in the second session on Day 3 of the second Test in Hyderabad. Pacer Umesh Yadav wreaked havoc with the ball, claiming three wickets as the visitors slumped to 76-6 at tea with a slender 20-run lead. Continuing from where he left off in the first innings, Yadav gave India their first breakthrough, dismissing Kraigg Brathwaite for a 2-ball duck in the first over. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, then got rid of Kieran Powell (9-ball duck) as Ajinkya Rahane took a sharp catch at first slip. Shai Hope (28) and Shimron Hetmyer (17) strung together a partnership of 39 runs for the third wicket but the latter gave away his wicket, trying to go over the top against Kuldeep Yadav. Hope's resistance ended soon after as Ravindra Jadeja dismissed him with a beautiful delivery from round the wicket. Towards the end of the second session, Roston Chase (6) and Shane Dowrich (0) were knocked over by a Yadav as he continued his dream run in the match. Sunil Ambris (20) and Jason Holder (4) were battling at the centre for the Windies as umpires decided to go for the tea break. Apart from Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja managed a wicket apiece.
