Oct. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Monica Bertran reports on a Gaza Strip tunnel investment scheme. About 4,000 Gazans invested in a network of tunnels that brought in supplies smuggled from Egypt after Israel blocked the overland passage of goods. When Israeli warplanes bombed the tunnels, the tunnels and investments collapsed. Investors, who lost as much as $500 million, want their money back. Hamas is offering a partial repayment of 16.5 cents on the dollar. (Source: Bloomberg)
