Rubber duckies could soon be at the forefront of an electronic revolution. In a study appearing in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, scientists report using specialized nanogenerators that gather energy from vibrations to transform the squeaky bathtub companions and other children’s toys into ‘smart’ electronics.
