Photographer Larry Fink talks with poet Gerald Stern about his book The Beats. Larry Fink is an acclaimed photographer whose work has appeared in one man shows at museums such as the MoMA, the Whitney, and the San Francisco Museum of Art. This new, fascinating collection brings together photographs Larry took in the late 1950s while living among artists in Greenwich Village and traveling across the US. The Beats finally allows us to see these photographs together, as an artistic record of a remarkable time. Larry speaks with poet and essayist Gerald Stern, who contributed an essay to the book.
