United Nations, New York, 8 June 2009 - This year World Environment Day (WED) has been held under the theme "Your Planet Needs You! Unite to Combat Climate Change". Celebrating World Environment Day, UN Under-Secretary-General and UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner, called on people from around the world to unite and call on their respective government's to seal a climate change deal in Copenhagen in December.
