Zephyr Teachout, a Fordham University professor who wants to take on incumbent Andrew Cuomo for governor of New York in September discusses her campaign. Ms. Teachout was director of internet organizing for the 2004 Howard Dean campaign and national director of the Sunlight Foundation. She emerged recently as a contender for the Working Families Party nomination. 

Then, new websites are emerging to give a boost to democracy online. Joining us, Heidi Sieck, chief operating officer of Democracy.com and David Moore, program director for AskThem.io. 

Next, thanks to a growing online chorus, the war-fueled crisis of sexual violence against women in Syria is get increased attention. To discuss, Syrian human rights lawyer Laila Alodaat of the Women's International League of Peace and Freedom, and Lisa Davis, a clinical professor of Law at CUNY Law School's International Women's Human Rights Clinic.

Then, in our 'Public Intellectual' segment, where we look at new research with the power to change minds and policy, we explore a study featured in the new film, 'the Lunchbox.' The film draws from Mumbai, India-based Dabbawalas, an organization of lunch box deliverers known for their almost perfect track record. Stefan Tompke, the William Barclay Harding professor of business administration at Harvard Business School has studied the Dabbawala system and shares its lessons with us. 

Last, a photographer and writer who brought new life to scenes of death. Frances Glessner Lee (1878-1972) built crime scene dioramas with astounding detail and helped advance the field of forensics. Adjunct professor at John Jay College and author of "the Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death," Corinne May Botz joins us to discuss her photos of Lee's CSI dioramas and her latest works.
