The Ottawa Senators are looking to take a professional approach as they approach Thursday’s game against the Florida Panthers, after having been mathematically eliminated from the NHL playoffs. There are still personal goals to look forward to: Trevor Hoffman is seeking his 30th goal of the season, and captain Erik Karlsson is the first NHL defenceman to reach 80 points in the past 10 years, although Karlsson says this milestone is not meaningful to him under the circumstances.
