Highlighting mental health stigma in our community, particularly men's mental health; Clive's personal experiences and openly speaking about his own mental health and the impact this has had in his personal/work life. Discussing the importance of this, and tying it into the vital services a charity like Oakleaf provides to help vulnerable people.

Since 1997, CEO Clive Stone has led and supported Oakleaf Enterprise, an independent mental health charity and social enterprise based in Guildford. Alongside this Clive has run a private counselling practice working with 100s of individuals complex emotional and psychological problems.
Prior to Clive commencing his role at Oakleaf he had managed his mental health problems on his own, with the support of his wife for many years but like many, was reluctant to discuss these in the public forum.
When he discovered Oakleaf and the excellent work they undertake, he realised that there were many individuals in a same situation, with limited support and little opportunity to gain meaningful employment.
Some 19 years on Clive is the first to stand up and tell the general public what it is like to manage a mental health problem, dealing with medication and confronting the stigma mental illness carries.
