On a morning, when we got three route diverted trains as a compensation for the rumor which we believed and sacrificed a night's sleep, spotting 2 locos of a rare class, both of different sheds and liveries is just soothing relief. After LKO WDM3B rumbled past with the route diverted Punjab mail, at around 05:25hrs, Nitin and I waited patiently for the late running Sadbhavana express to come. Its regular link is TKD WDM3A, but that day it was a surprising offlink and personally speaking i was satisfied with spotting this superb offlink. It was a GD WDM3B that was hurtling towards Ghaziabad hauling the 2hrs late running Sadbhavana express connecting Sultanpur Jn. and Delhi Jn. Initially looking at the loco's livery as it pierced through the early morning haziness, i guessed it to be a Gonda ALCo, as the loco drew closer, i noticed the side railings, which gave me an indication that this could be a WDM3D/WDG3A, but as it came closer i noticed the road no. of the loco to be 14151, which made me think, it was only then that i noticed that this was the WDM3B class loco. Most of the WDM3B locos are being converted to WDM3D for reasons unknown. But out of whatever is left i spotted 2 that day, and my day was made. It was an eventful RF to say the least.
