(16 Oct 2018) PRINCE WILLIAM MEETS WITH BRITISH DIVERS WHO HELPED RESCUE BOYS TRAPPED IN THAILAND CAVE Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, today (16 OCT. 2018) honored the British divers who helped rescue 12 boys trapped in a cave in Thailand. The boys and their soccer coach made headlines around the world after they became trapped in a partially flooded cave on June 23. They were found by two British divers and brought out in a daring rescue mission that ended on July 10. At a Buckingham Palace reception, the Duke met with the divers, later posing for photographs with them in front of an ornate fireplace. It was the prince's first engagement since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's announcement that they are expecting their first child in the spring.
