A city court on Tuesday issued an arrest warrant against Cricket Association of Bengal joint secretary Biswarup Dey in a complaint made by the West Bengal fire services department two years back in a case related to the Indian Premier League.

The issue regarding Biswarup may concieve some political elements in it. Eventhough the Sports Minister of West Bengal Mr.Madan Mitra said,"Biswarup is like my own brother, but law will walk on it's own way", the sports world of Kolkata can easily find the political elements in it as the political leaders of the ruling pirty are trying to feet their doorsteps in it.

The fire department had lodged the FIR on March 15, 2010 about a temporary plywood structure which functioned as a super hospitality box at the Eden Gardens sitting premium category spectators during matches involving the Kolkata Knight Riders.

According the fire services department, the structure allegedly did not conform to its guidelines and safety regulations.

The arrest warrant was issued by the seventh metropolitan magistrate of Bankshall Court on the complaint.

 Biswarup Dey, who served as the manager of the Indian team in the limited over fixtures during its tour to Australia earlier this year, said the IPL matches were organised by the franchises who make the entire arrangements.

Biswarup was highly disappointed with that issue and said,"When the NOC is against the personnel of KKR, then why are they accusing me? I felt terribly ashamed with it and if CAB permit, I will file a case against the respect i spoiled because of this nonsense case."
