In the 96th running of the Grade 2, $200,000 Remsen, Kingfield Stables and Eli Lomitas Buddys Saint continued to move forward off his impressive victory in the Grade 2 Nashua earlier this month, again opening up in the stretch to hit the wire 4¾ lengths in front. In only the third start of his career, the Saint Liam colt galloped along a well-placed third for most of the race before moving out in the backstretch to take over the lead leaving the five-sixteenths pole and draw off for the win. His final time for the 1 1/8 miles was 1:52.95 over a fast track.
