For those of you who are a little impatient, the editing starts at almost 1:00 into the video. I felt the beginning was important to include and it didn't feel right to tamper with it. Anyway, the rest of this description is pretty longwinded, so bare with me. It's sort of like my pseudo-director's commentary.

I've been a big Disney fan ever since I was very young. As I got older, I was aware that I didn't really have the same kind of love for any of the Walt Disney Animation Studios movies that came after Tarzan. A few years ago, I found out that the movies I loved during my childhood were part of an era called The Disney Renaissance that lasted from 1989 to 1999. It was a pretty exciting discovery and I was happy to know that it was widely acknowledged that there was something special about this period.

After that, I watched a few tributes to these movies. There were some very good ones, but the thing that felt off with some of them was that with all the great music that came from these movies, the creators would choose music that didn't come from any of them. I was thinking about how I would do it, and the difficulty came from trying to pick one song to speak for every film. Then it hit me that Part of Your World was the perfect choice. It's one of the most iconic Disney songs of all time and it comes from the first movie of the Disney Renaissance, so it felt right to use it as the one song that represented them all. As I listened to it, I got very excited as I noticed how perfectly the lyrics matched up with scenes from the other movies both visually and thematically. I kept this idea in my head for a while knowing that I had to make it, and I've finally gotten around to putting it together, so I hope you enjoy it.
