TEDxCambridge Salon Performance. R.D. King is an award-winning composer and performer of instrumental acoustic guitar music who has opened for Grammy-nominated Ari Hest, Andy McKee, and Liz Longley among others. Following a tumultuous childhood, he confronts the anxiety and alienation of modern life by seeking deeper meaning, beauty, and connection through music. Inspired by literature, philosophy, art, and meditation, R.D.’s pursuit of music is his deepest source of personal growth. He hopes to inspire listeners in their own journeys towards empathy, love, and self-actualization. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
