I won the battle against the chain mortiser for now.  A little bit of creative grinding and she's as good as new, unfortunately I did the work off of camera but the mortiser makes an appearance in this one for the final mortises for the first floor.  There is also some timber frame knee brace work in this video as well as some more explanation.  Hope you folks enjoy the show.
