Well, the time has arrived, Gertrude and Barry's silkie chicks have hatched! These day old silkie chicks are MEGA cute. 

These four little chickens are the first ever clutch from my Silkie pair; and I got a bit of a surprise. At Brimwood Farm I'm breeding silkies for sale; but it seems as if either Barry, Gertrude or both have a little hidden Poland chicken genealogy as there's some strange characteristics.
