New Brewery Coming To Brevard

A Colorado based brewery announces plans for an expansion operation right here in Western North Carolina. Oskar Blues Brewery has signed a contract on a 30,000 square foot space in Brevard. The company is currently in negotiations for a music venue and pub downtown. Owner, Dale Katechis, was first introduced to the region after mountain biking in both Pisgah and Dupont National Forests. A spokesperson for the brewery says the move could be transformative for both tourism and merchants in downtown Brevard.The brewery will actually be the second to call Brevard home. Brevard Brewing Company just opened it's doors last week.Oskar Blues Brewery expects to be up and running by December.
