Mao and his followers have completed the Long March, but local warlords are snapping at their heels. Meanwhile, Japanese imperial ambitions eye the area from their new Manchurian acquistions. The Soviet Union has made amicable noises, but are they willing to enter the fray on Mao's behalf, and will it be enough to ensure Communist Chinese survival? If the Soviets do decide to intervene, will the West see their distraction and strike in a bid to destroy Communism once and for all? Non-historical national focuses.
