Lagoon Amusement Park, Utah: Sky Coaster. First, you’re placed in a harness. Then they hook you into the string. Then they drop the platform from underneath you so that you’re horizontal. You get towed up backwards until you can see the cars way down in the parking lot below. When you reach the top, a voice says, “3,2,1 - go!” Then one of you pulls the rip cord and then, you drop. You pass within about 8 feet of the ground, and then back up. Then down again backwards. ...several times until they ask you to grab onto the loop to stop.
