In this video I reveal why it's important to be frugal and a minimalist when you are starting your online startup. You need to be lean, and need a mind free of all stress in order to be successful with your own business. This is the key reason I've been able to work 1-2 hours per day, and still be successful at it. It comes down to being frugal and disciplined with your money. You don't have to be rich to start your own business. A common misconception that keeps so many people from following their dreams is that in order to launch a successful startup, you need a budget large enough to support your lofty ambitions. This couldn't be farther from the truth. While you'll undoubtedly need to invest some money into your startup, it's more than possible to do so with a limited budget and to maintain continuous growth and increase revenue after your initial launch. What's a Frugal Minimalist? A frugal minimalist knows how to prioritize everything from their finances to personal responsibilities. They understand that there are unavoidable expenses in life and business. They don't try to do without or cheat the system, but instead find the most affordable and effective way of approaching every expense with a preservative mindset. A frugal minimalist doesn't just see their business as a current project or a monetary figure. The end goal isn't to earn x amount of money but to instead reach periodic milestones that only boost their company's value and their own personal potential. The Right Type of Growth Revenue is what keeps your business afloat and let's face it, money does make the world go round. As great as it may be to fantasize about running off into the woods and living off the land, the dream bubble is burst by bills and needs that only money can help you satisfy. The difference between the frugal minimalist and other entrepreneurs is that while the minimalist knows finances are necessary and possessions are nice, he doesn't allow them to dictate his actions. Entrepreneurs who focus solely on profit miss out on the incredible personal opportunities that running a business presents. Being your own boss means that you have a level of flexibility and creative liberty other people slave away their whole lives dreaming of. Scrimping on the chance to learn new skills, meet new people and experience new things in lieu of earning more to accommodate your increasingly expensive lifestyle is one of the biggest mistakes you can make. A frugal minimalist knows what matters and invests his money where it has the most potential to grow. It may feel great driving that shiny new Porsche off the car lot, but the $70,000 you spent would have felt even better tripled in stocks. Mind Over Matter People will tell you that running your own business means giving up everything to pursue your dreams. You're to expect nothing but 40-plus hour work weeks and uncompensated overtime being the brains behind the operation. In reality, you don't need to sacrifice your life or change who you are to run a successful online business. You don't need thousands of dollars to start. You don't need a four-year degree or years of industry experience. What you do need is self-discipline and a mindset that helps you visualize where you can make the most advantageous cutbacks in your own life and finances; frugality doesn't just mean saving money you can invest elsewhere. It's about consuming your mental energy for the tasks that need it the most and will give you the greatest payoff. Subscribe, share, and comment.
