Following allegations of irregularities in Group-2 examinations the High Court of Hyderabad on Monday issued a three-week stay on the ongoing recruitment process and certificate verification of candidates
Notices went sent to the Telangana Public Service Commission TPSC asking it to file a counter The Court was dealing with a PIL filed by a person alleging that the TSPSC violated rules while conducting Group-2 written examination

It may be recalled that the newly-formed Telangana government had issued a Group-2 notification stating that the government would recruit 1032 posts As many as 565 lakh candidates had appeared for the written examination that was conducted in November last year
The TSPSC which had announced the results of the exam recently issued call letters to more than 3000 candidates to appear for the final phase of interview

The petitioner alleged that the there were severe irregularities taken place while correcting the exam papers It was also alleged that the officials used whitener to make re-corrections on the papers to pass the candidate for next round of the interview
