(24 Oct 2018) Mark Zuckerberg told a global data privacy conference Facebook takes its "basic ethical responsibility" to protect personal information incredibly seriously. Zuckerberg, Facebook's founder and CEO, sent a pre-recorded message which was played to the annual meeting between data privacy chiefs in Brussels on Wednesday. He admitted a recent data breach and the Cambridge Analytica scandal had showed his social media giant has "a lot more work to do". Zuckerberg said the company is investing in safety measures such as building a new tool to let users clear their browsing activity and deploying artificial intelligence to detect fake accounts and take down terrorist content.
