Today I wanted to talk a little bit about negotiation at garage sales.  One method that I use sometimes is something that I call the "pile on" method.  It's where you take a few things that you want and bunch them together at a yard sale and then ask the seller if he will take a lower price for the whole lot of items.  This method is very effective.  It's important to remember there is a principal here that works whether you are dealing with somebody selling things out of their garage or you are dealing with a manufacturer overseas.  Always practice your negotiation skills.  Garage sales are great places to practice.
