In this video we continue my German household vocabulary series and focus on everything related to lights at home: lamps, switches, rooms and more. You’ll hear natural German sentences that show you how to talk about Licht in deiner Wohnung – from the Flur to the living room.

We look at useful words like die Wohnung, der Flur, der Lichtschalter, die Lampe, die Leuchtstoffröhre, der Leuchtstoff, die Röhre and der Deckenfluter. I also explain different verbs you can use when you turn something on: etwas einschalten, anschalten oder anmachen.
