2015 was a big year for me, this channel and the stuff I loved in movies, music and gaming. In this Best of 2015 review I look back at my favourite releases and moments of the year and talk about the YouTube milestones we reached together on Definitely German. ✨

This is an English recap video, not a structured German lesson. It’s a personal look back at my YouTube journey in 2015, the community that started to grow around the channel and the films, shows, games and songs that defined that year for me.

You’ll see:

Channel growth, early YouTube milestones and the German-learning community in 2015

My favourite movies, music and games from that year

Collaboration moments and crossovers with other German creators like Get Germanized

Reflections on how 2015 set up the content and style that came in 2016

You can use this video as a chill background watch or as inspiration for your own “Best of 2015” list: write down movies, series, games and songs you don’t know yet and check them out afterwards.

Thanks so much for being part of the Definitely German community and for making 2015 such an important chapter in this channel’s history. ❤️

❓ FAQ
Q: How can I use 2015 movies, shows and music to learn German?
A: You can start by watching or rewatching titles I mention in the video with German audio or subtitles, pausing on interesting lines and writing down phrases you like. Even though this recap is in English, the recommendations give you a watchlist you can use later for German listening and reading practice.

Q: Are “Best of 2015” videos still useful years later?
A: Yes, because the movies, games and songs from that year don’t disappear. A year-in-review video like this gives you a curated snapshot of what people were talking about at the time and helps you discover older titles that are still great for entertainment and, if you want, for cultural and language immersion.
