Newest Ohio racino Belterra Park to open Thursday

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (Rich Jaffe) -- Ohio's newest racino opens for business Thursday in Anderson Township.

The owners of Belterra Park spent the last several months overhauling the former River Downs.

The racino opens for VIPs at 5 p.m. Then at 7 p.m. it opens to the general public. 

Belterra Park is more than a racetrack. There are 1500 video lottery machines. Visitors have a choice of six restaurants, from fine dining to buffets and burgers. There are venues for live entertainment. 

The facility has two all new tracks. One is turf, the other is dirt. 

Owners Pinnacle Entertainment put $300 million into redoing the racino and it's betting that people will like the changes.
