Wally Krauss plays: "For You", "'Til We Meet Again"(Whiting & Egan,1918), a Bing Crosby hit "When Day is Done"(1924), and three by George & Ira Gershwin: "The Man I Love"(1927), a hit for many artists such as Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Lena Horne and Ella Fitzgerald. Next, "Embraceable You" and "Someone to Watch Over Me":
   Dozens of girls[guys] would storm up;
I had to lock my door,
Somehow I couldn't warm up
To one before.
What was it that controlled me?
What kept my love-life lean?
My intuition told me
You'd come on the scene.
Lady[Baby], listen to the rhythm of my heartbeat,
And you'll get just what I mean.
Embrace me,
My sweet embraceable you.
Embrace me,
You irreplaceable you.
Just one look at you - my heart grew tipsy in me.
You and you alone bring out the gypsy in me.
I love all
The many charms about you;
Above all,
I want my arms about you.
Don't be a naughty baby,
Come to papa - come to papa - do!
My sweet embraceable you.

I love all
The many charms about you;
Above all,
I want my arms about you.
Don't be a naughty baby,
Come to papa - come to papa - do!
My sweet embraceable you.//// (George & Ira Gershwin,1928). This was first performed in a song and dance routine by Ginger Rogers in the 1930 Broadway musical 'Girl Crazy'. Fred Astaire choreographed. The Platters, André Previn, Django Reinhardt, Zoot Sims, Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, Rod Stewart, Art Tatum, Erroll Garner; George Gershwin, and Dizzy Gillespie.///

     There's a saying old says that love is blind
Still we're often told "seek and ye shall find"
So I'm going to seek a certain girl I've had in mind
Looking everywhere, haven't found her yet
She's the big affair I cannot forget
Only girl I ever think of will regret.
I'd like to add her initial to my monogram
Tell me where's the shepherd for this lost lamb.
There's a somebody I'm longing to see
I hope that she turns out to be
Someone who'll watch over me.
I'm a little lamb who's lost in a wood
I know I could always be good
To one who'll watch over me.
Although she may not the girl some men think of
As handsome to my heart
She carries the key.
Won't you tell her please to put on some speed
Follow my lead, oh how I need
Someone to watch over me.
Someone to watch over me./// (George & Ira Gershwin, 1926) This was recorded by many artists, including Art Tatum, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Rosemary Clooney, Barbra Streisand, Willie Nelson, Linda Ronstadt, Susan Boyle, Lena Horne, Gladys Knight, and Rod Stewart.
