The Linde Werdelin Spidolite II is Danish, British, and Swiss. A product of an increasingly global luxury watch culture, this is a sports watch for cosmopolitan sensibilities and fans of high technology. 

Linde Werdelin builds sports watches - period. The company's 44mm case allows chief designer Morton Linde to explore modern machine themes and leverage extensive skeletonization to "turn the machine inside out." Every element of the Spidolite II emphasizes the essence of a modern luxury watch: the mechanical movement inside.

And inside the elaborately-machined titanium case is a LW04 automatic movement built expressly for the Swiss-Danish firm by Chaux-de-Fonds movement boutique Concepto. Valerian Jaquet designed this movement to be a set-it-and-forget-it timekeeper with Rolex levels of durability.

Linde Werdelin open both sides of the Spidolite II to reveal that LW04 mechanical mechanism. With a dial evocative of jet turbines and a case reminiscent of an H.R. Giger bio-mechanoid, the Spidolite II presents a fearsome face to arch-rivals Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore and Hublot Big Bang.

But the Linde Werdelin Spidolite II has both of these brand names beat when exclusivity enters the equation. As one of only 100 units built, this Linde Werdelin Spidolite II likely will be the only one its owner ever encounters. Meanwhile, certain offices across America are beginning to look like Hublot warehouses.
