Rinsodo exhibited the "ECODEN" USB rechargeable dry cell battery at the Spring 2009 Tokyo International Gift Show.

The "ECODEN" is a dry cell battery that can be recharged by plugging it directly into a USB port, and because the battery doesn't require the use of a dedicated charger, the batteries can be easily used repeatedly. 

The ECODEN is available in two different capacities including a 1450mAh capacity and an 800mAh capacity and it also features a function that prevents overcharging, so the battery can be used without safety concerns.
